When there are specific gaps to close before an exam, when the child is shy and afraid to speak in front of a group, when a faster-than-usual pace is needed, and when a learning difficulty requires individual adaptation.
When a group is better
When the goal is conversation and communication — because conversation needs a conversation partner. When the child is sociable and learns well in a social setting. And when budget is limited — a group is cheaper.
The best solution
A combination of both: group lessons for conversation and interaction practice, plus one private lesson a week to reinforce specific weak points.
