Change the activity every 10-15 minutes
Children's attention span is short. Planning a lesson with 4-5 different activities keeps engagement up throughout.
Use physical movement
Standing up, moving desks, standing by the board — physical movement boosts focus and helps memory. Total Physical Response (TPR) is a proven method.
Surprise
When students don't know what's coming next, they stay alert. Build a surprise element into every lesson.
Questions, not lectures
Instead of explaining, ask. A question engages the brain actively; a lecture doesn't.
